600 tech border exceptions now available
The process to apply for the 600 border exceptions for tech workers is now underway and businesses can apply for an industry nomination now.
Hundreds of places are still available.
The border exception is available for specific roles that are in the highest demand, to enable companies to bring tech workers to New Zealand as quickly as possible.
600 more tech workers coming soon
Late last year Minister Clark announced that Cabinet had approved a Class Exception for 600 overseas tech workers to come to New Zealand. This was great news for our industry, with many companies suffering with the border restrictions currently in place.
But when will it be available and how will it work?

The Plan for Digital Tech Skills and Talent draws on a huge amount of previous work and research and has a focus on what needs to happen to enable faster scale-up and transformation of our industry.
