NetHui Fellowships are open

ITP Staff. 04 September 2017, 6:40 am

NetHui fellowships are open ahead of this year's event and this year the focus is on bringing more youth, women and Māori and Pasifika people to NetHui.

Fellowship applications are currently open until 20 September.

The purpose of the NetHui Fellowships is to diversify NetHui attendance and to help those who will benefit greatly from attending, but find cost limiting their attendance. The fellowships can help pay for travel, accommodation, childcare or other expenses. Fellowships also can provide a free registration.

This year's programme is still being developed but those interested in attending in Auckland on 9 and 10 November should remember that accomodation fills up fast and bookings should be made as early as possible.

NetHui is an InternetNZ initiative and was launched in 2011 and has run in a variety of guises ever since. Designed as a community-led event, the programme is in part defined by the issues of the day and in the past issues covered included cyber-bullying, copyright, state surveillance and many others.

For more information please see the fellowship page on the NetHui website here or you can register for NetHui here.
