The ICT Trends series commenced in September 2010 as a sequence of slides collated into a monthly publication on the CITRENZ website. Now, Garry presents his final look at the ICT jobs market.
ICT Trends – Rewarding Career

This month's Seek ICT job advert figures indicate a 5 percent drop on the March figure of 2065, and represents a decline of 4.3 percent on this time last year. The NZ Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) jobs online monthly report for March 2016 states that while the all vacancies index increased by 0.7 percent, IT increased by just 0.1 percent over the month, 16 February to 16 March.
ICT Trends – Contrasts in Demand
A quick glance at this month's Seek ICT job advert figures indicates that the usual upward trend for this time of the year is currently tracking below the same period for 2015.
And in the NZ Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) jobs online monthly report for February 2016, the all vacancies index fell by 0.5 percent with IT decreasing by 0.2 percent.
