New ITP CEO Announced

Following an extensive search and recruitment process, the National Board of IT Professionals NZ is excited to announce the appointment of Victoria MacLennan as its next CEO.
ITPNZ is the professional body of the tech sector, representing thousands of professions across New Zealand. As the longest standing tech body in the country, ITPNZ helps develop its members, sets standards, recognises those who aspire to excellence, and works as the voice of the IT profession to Government and others.
Victoria MacLennan comes to ITPNZ with a strong history of getting things done in the tech sector. She served several years as co-chair of industry body NZRise, representing NZ-owned tech companies to Government and others, chairs Digital Future Aotearoa and has a long list of other tech community involvement.
She also brings a strong digital tech industry perspective; previously being Managing Director of OptimalBI.com - data and information specialists - and OptimalPeople.co.nz - financial reporting and book-keeping specialists, alongside an equity and inclusion lens with previous involvement with Digital Equity Coalition Aotearoa and other initiatives.
Victoria has a fundamental understanding of the role of the profession and a professional body, having worked alongside ITPNZ for many years in a voluntary capacity.
She takes over from long-standing CEO Paul Matthews who has done a great job of leading the organisation over the last 14 years. Paul is leaving to pursue other opportunities and we are hugely grateful for the massive contribution he has made to the profession.
We're excited about the future of ITPNZ, and know our community will welcome Victoria warmly as we enter the next chapter of our 62-year history.
Victoria starts shortly, taking on the CEO role full-time from Monday 14 March.
