NZ Open Source Awards - Nominations close Monday
Nominations for the New Zealand Open Source Awards close next Monday 21 June and final call for nominations are underway.
There are a number of categories including use of open source in government, in business, open source software project and open source contributor as well as education, the arts, science and many more.
Sponsors include Catalyst IT and Silverstripe as well as ITP itself.
Nominations close on Monday, and the gala dinner will be held on 26 October.
The New Zealand Open Source Awards were first held in 2007, then 2008 and biennially since then, with the most recent in October 2018.
"The roll call of previous winners, and the nominations that they were drawn from, is an impressive testament to New Zealand's contributions to the global open source movement. As those contributions continue, the New Zealand Open Source Awards recognise that achievement and celebrate it with the people that make it happen," says th Association.
The awards took a year off last year as a result of COVID but the Association hopes to redress that this year.
