Update from ITPNZ
Here's a quick weekly update from ITP CEO Paul Matthews
Anothing short week with Easter, but it certainly didn't feel like one! Days seem very long in lockdown.
At ITP we have our Live Webinar early (today at 4pm) focused on tech and the law - the legal aspects of Covid-19 and the lockdown. There are lots of things to consider and our panel of 4 legal experts from Buddle Findlay will lay it all out for us.
4pm today: Friday Live online webinar on Covid-19: Tech and the Law
Each Friday of Level 4 lockdown ITP we are hosting the brand new ITP Friday Live webinar.
This week' session is happening this afternoon at 4pm and features a tech news roundup with the full TechBlog team, followed by a great talk and Q&A session on the legal aspects of Covid-19 from a panel of 4 legal experts. What are the big legal issues of Covid-19 from a tech perspective and what do you need to know - both individually and in business?
These Level-4 weeks are long and times are tough. So grab a beer, wine or juice and finish your week off right with this informative and entertaining session, delivered live online nationwide!
We have hundreds registered already, so come join us!
Next couple of Friday Live webinars
We have an extra special webinar next Friday (same time) but can't quite let the cat out of the bag just yet. More details early next week.
The following Friday we welcome back Gaynor Parkin from Umbrella Wellbeing, talking about managing ourselves and our teams during the transitionary times. Registration for this one will open soon too.
We've really enjoyed bringing these webinars to you and between the live participants and those watching later, love that thousands of you are tuning in. We'll be looking at how we continue this post-lockdown too.
Tahi Rua Toru Tech Still Running throughout lockdown
The ongoing effect of the Covid-19 pandemic has fortunately not put a stop to the innovation for young people, as we push forward with the Tahi Rua Toru Tech Challenge.
Term two kicked off this week with most schools running strictly in an online presence, and we have adopted a similar approach with teams and teachers meeting via video chat on their preferred platforms.
At an unprecedented time like this, it's crucial more than ever to get more members of our community involved as mentors in the challenge. If you have found yourself with freer time, or are keen to help inspire and work with future generations of IT Professionals then enlist today in our digital army!

CITP is Growing - Get Yours
We had a fantastic turnout to our first CITP/CTech webinar and workshop which was designed to help answer question around our certification process, and to help those who are interested get started.
ITP certifications are recognised in New Zealand and abroad and empower IT Professionals by providing independent evidence of competence in software and IT.
Reminder: Lots of ITP short courses now available, all with 20% off
Given the current Covid-19 lockdown, we've made all of our courses available online, bumped up their availability heaps over the next month, and are providing an additional 20% discount for everyone.
Times are certainly tough at the moment and while some in our community are extremely busy, others are less so. A number of members have asked us to make more courses available so this downtime can be put to good use and we've done just that.
With at least 2 different courses available every week, all delivered live and interactive online, here's a great opportunity to use this time to upskill you and your team. Pick and choose the courses that suit you.
Use the discount code covid19 to receive an additional 20% discount on all course registrations during Covid alert level 4 and level 3. This is off the listed price and is in addition to discounts for members and staff of Corporate Partners.
Also, let us know if you have 4+ people from your organisation interested in a course.
The current courses are listed below and we'll be adding more regularly. Let us know if there's another topic you'd like to see included and we'll do our best to bring it to you.
